My name is Heather Broadbridge-Longtin. I created this blog when I first became engaged. My life has changed in so many ways since then I am a wife, a mother but no longer a daughter. All of these things have shaped me into who I am. I am about to embark on yet another challenge or name to add to the list - business woman. It's a small step toward my ultimate goal of "what do I want to be when I gorw up".

Friends.....
Ethan, Sophia & Evan
Back off, Ethan I was sitting beside her first!!
Hey, where'd Evan go he was holding us up!!
It's a playdate
These are my friends Sophia & Evan. Sophia & I share the same birthday. I'm older but only by a few hours. Evan is just 2 weeks younger. Mommy met their Mom's at prenatal class and they have been hanging out since after we were born. It's lots of fun when they come over. Somehow they are the only ones that understand me....
Sitting on Mommy & Daddy's Bed...that's right Sitting

Ethan & Santa
Mommy & Daddy took me to see Santa on my 4 month birthday. As you can see I'm not overly impressed with the guy in red. But Mommy & Daddy find that I'm hard to impress anyway so i don't think it has anything to do with him. I don't give away smiles for nothing...you have to work hard to get a smile out of me! And laughing...that's another story all together. I'm sure next year will be different. Mommy & Daddy told me Santa's a good guy and I'm really gonna like him...we'll see....

January
Ethan & I have joined a few programs to keep us busy this winter. We have joined the mother goose & connect with baby program at the Early Years Centre. They do nursery rhymes, lullabyes and other such things. It's a great place to go and meet other Moms and just to get out of the house. We have also signed up for Mom and baby fitness to help us.. stay active through the winter. That starts next week.
Last Thursday Ethan had his four month needles. He was not a happy boy. He cried and cried until I thought I was going to cry. I had planned to do some errands but needless to say we went home instead. He was not very good for a couple of days very upset, irritable and verging on a fever. It was a tough couple of days with him but we made it! Our little chunkster weights 16lbs and is 26 3/4 inches tall. He is in the 95 perctile for his height...wow, can you believe that coming from a couple of shorty's. Maybe we have my Dad to thank...I hope so....I hope Ethan will have his Grandpa Gord's height.
Saturday Jan 10th Jeff and I went to his work party while Ethan was babysat by his Granmother and Aunt Lori. It was another tough day but this time for me. It was the first time we really left him. I mean in the summer we went fishing once but we were gone maybe an hour and all he did was sleep. Now he's awake, he's more aware. I was a wreck. To make matters worse he decided to have a fit before we left. He just started crying for no apparent reason and was really upset. I took his temperature b/c he was warm but it wasn't that. I gave him his teething ring, no not that either. I gave him gripe water - he had the hiccups and he's teething. Not sure if that helped or not b/c he finally settled down. But I couldn't leave until he did. He was fine for the rest of the evening thankfully. We checked in twice and then called on our way home - too much, too little??? I don't know I could have called every hour.
We had a fun time bowling with Jeff's new workmates and had a couple of drinks. We definately needed the night out. We should do it on a regular basis as it was good for us to get out together and relax and enjoy each others company as well as socialize with ADULTS!(for me anyway)
We have a busy weekend coming up...stay tuned for an update.
