My Cousin David emailed me some 80's tunes. I didn't know you could actually send the song and listen to it. So when I opened them and was able to play the songs I huge smile came across my face. I know not everyone likes 80's...probably just those of us that grew up during the era but there's nothing like it to put you in the mood & the groove!!
This is a trial and although at first I wasn't sure of the song by the title...let this one take you back. Enjoy!!!

My name is Heather Broadbridge-Longtin. I created this blog when I first became engaged. My life has changed in so many ways since then I am a wife, a mother but no longer a daughter. All of these things have shaped me into who I am. I am about to embark on yet another challenge or name to add to the list - business woman. It's a small step toward my ultimate goal of "what do I want to be when I gorw up".

Step #2
Now that we have the ball in motion we aren't wasting any time.
This evening we have an appointment to see a photographer -Bphotographed is the name of the company. It is a husband & wife team. From what we saw at one of the Bridal shows they do amazing work especially with there "wedding story album".
We hope they are as good as we expect and then there is one more thing crossed off our "to do" list.
Step #3 Confirming our location. I received the call the other day to confirm that we could have our date...so on Saturday we are going to secure both!
Next Steps - the Caterers & Officiant.

The Wheels are in Motion
A couple of weeks ago Jeff & I went to yet another wedding show, in Barrie this time. Every time we go we find something, usually only one thing, that we really like. Well, this time we found the most important item to do with planning our wedding...the Venue. Now, I don't want to give too much away as to the location but let me tell you...it is unique and beautiful. How would I know this only from attening a wedding show? Not only did we see photos at the show we took the next step...we went to see it. Hold your breath...there is a date on the horizon. I can't reveal the date yet as we need to secure the venue and let a few special people know (not that you are any less special)...but these people have to clear their calendars...that and I love to keep you all in suspense!!! Evil...I know but what can I say I'm the bride!!! LOL!!! Love you all!

What I've Learned...
This weekend we had a family get together to go to, on my Dad's side. I got to see some cousins I haven't seen for far too long. why you ask? I'm not sure really. When we get together we have a great time catching up with one another, talking about the good ol'days etc. It's shame that we don't get together more and the only reason I can think of is...we don't make the time. The greatest excuse is life...we are all off living our lives and somehow forget that there's family out there that we would like to share that life with and it's all about "making time". The great thing...even though we don't see each other as much as we should...we pick up where we left off and there doesn't seem to be any time between us. I would like to close the gap between visits because while we can pick up were we left off we can't get the years back. That's what I learned this weekend. I'm going to try and make more memories with family members...near and far.
I wish I had taken some photos this weekend. I'll have to see if I can't get some.
