Another year over &a new one begins. Every new year it feels like it will take forever to be summer or for Christmas to roll around again but before you know it it's March than June & then snows falling in late November. Time flies no matter what we do. It's what we do with the time we have tho that matters most. This year I want to spend more time with genuine friends & family I love & who love me back! I'm not going to waste my time on people that don't care about me or people that don't want to grow. We only have one life & we need to live it to the fullest & learn our life lessons as we go. So count your blessings, love deeply, mean what you say & be true & good to yourself.
The Story of Us
My name is Heather Broadbridge-Longtin. I created this blog when I first became engaged. My life has changed in so many ways since then I am a wife, a mother but no longer a daughter. All of these things have shaped me into who I am. I am about to embark on yet another challenge or name to add to the list - business woman. It's a small step toward my ultimate goal of "what do I want to be when I gorw up".

Summertime is the best time!!
Summer went by in the blink of an eye. Here's a few things we did this summer in pictures & pictures are worth a million words.
The 5 year Milestone has been achieved!!
On Aug 22 this year Ethan turned 5 years old!!! Wow 5 years already. Where did that go?? They say, whoever they are, that time flies once you have kids. They weren't kidding!
I love birthdays, I love planning parties. This year's party theme was Duck Dynasty. I didn't think I could pull it off until I talked to someone & got ideas & then went on Pintrest. Got some great ideas there & came up with a few of my own. We had a totally rocking Duck Dynasty party for my little duckling!! I impressed even myself. We had camouflage everywhere right down to the cupcakes - they were the ultimate cupcakes!!
I loved it. I'm in my glory planning a party & especially creating wonderful yummy treats!
Here's some photos to enjoy!

First day of School
Here Ethan goes! Off to start SK!! While he has not been excited about returning to school, he did not put up a fight about it either. I had expected one but I guess he got it out of his system beforehand! Mommy is proud of her wee man for doing so well & the morning going smoothly. Can't wait to hear how his day actually went. He said he wasn't going to have any fun only in the playground so we will see if that turns out to be true.

June 2011
Wow! A whole year has gone by since i last blogged. Guess no one has missed any updates as no one has said anything. That's ok. Originally, i did it for me anyway.
Ethan is now 2 and 3/4 years old. He talks a lot, eats a little, laughs much and loves when he's in the mood. He can be the most affectionate boy when he wants and a miserable little thing too! Even when he's miserable he's still so darn cute.
Some highlights of the last year include:

Some highlights of the last year include:
- going to the cottage, swimming, fishing, boating canoeing even.
- the drive in
- Elmvale zoo
- lazy summer days outside
- visits with friends and family
- ATV rides
- playing in the snow, making snowmen and angels
- Being away from Mommy & Daddy for the first time - April and then again in Sept for our 3rd year anniversary, in which we spent the weekend at an awesome resort in Blue Mountain. We went hiking, shopping, to dinner, live band, stayed out til 1AM! and I had a pedicure - so nice. Jeff arranged the whole "surprise" weekend. He did a great job so good that i said he could arrange this years too!
- My 2nd birthday party at our house
- 2 year molars - those were memorable because they were so hard to come in & caused Ethan a lot of pain and me a lot of sleepless nights.
- Great Grandma turned 95
- Grandpa turned 65
- Christmas was lots of fun as Ethan enjoyed opening the gifts, getting the concept of it better. Lots of great things from everyone.
- New Years was spent with the Young family. We had a wonderful time. Ethan was a party animal staying up til 2AM!
- February was filled with birthdays & a new arrival. Finally a girl in our play group!!
- Jeff had surgery on his left arm for a torn bicep & was off work for 3 months having just gone back the beginning of May.
- I painted the pool room in a colour called Marshlands - a dark browny green. Its a beautiful rich colour. It looks great!
- Went to my cousin's garden wedding(on my Dad's side) It was lovely.
- And as recent as yesterday we got a truck load of logs delivered. That i will have to post pictures of because when i say a truck load you really can't imagine how much wood that is. Seriously. I couldn't believe my eyes as i watched.
So I guess that's the last year, i don't know. I can't really rememeber too much of what we did but those are a few things.
Obviously most of my time is consumed by Ethan. He's all I talk about & know to talk about.
