Little Ethan is 8 months old now! Wow...where did that go. He is growing and learning everyday. He is starting to get around. He doesn't really have one form of crawling rather he is trying several - he lays on his tummy and uses his arms to pull him, he turns in circles until he reaches his destination, or he pushes himself backwards. When he does get up on his hands and knees he just rocks and doesn't try to move, it's cute.
Ethan loves standing and of course jumping. He is still having a great time in the jolly jumper. He is getting really good at standing so if the crawling thing doesn't work out for him there's always walking.
I am having trouble getting Ethan on solids. We started 2 months ago and I doubt he has yet to eat a table spoon of anything. We have tried the "first" cereals to no avail. We have tried sweet potatoe, turkey and chicken. I have not tried too many things with him but keep offering it to him. Every time I open a jar it just ends up in the garbage or Zorro's dish.
We did have some success on the weekend....very small but success nonetheless. He ate, like opened his mouth and had seconds....banana and some potatoe. Yaaaahhhh!!!! He was back to fighting me today but we'll see. But I guess he comes by it honestly I was a horrible eater but I don't know that it was right out of the gate?? We'll keep trying.
Ethan has a repetoire of words - ba-ba, mum-mum, da-da (not said for a while), ahhh, arg, va and believe it or not hubba-hubba....and yes I have a witness to that.
He has 2 teeth that he has had since March and no new prospects yet. All the signs are there but nothing has popped through yet.
To keep us busy we go for walks, now that the nice weather has arrived, go on play dates, fitness class and attend a program at the library. When we aren't running to all of these things we are chillin' at home.

Ethan meets the Easter Bunny
Happy 1st Easter to Ethan Wyatt!!! Not much you can do for a baby for Easter - egg hunts are out (so Jeff said) chocolate is out (so I say) so we took him to see the Easter Bunny. Who knew you could get your picture taken with the Easter Bunny just the same as Santa?? I didn't that's for sure. But here he is.....a little creepy I might add....but Ethan is adorable so that makes up for Creepy Easter Bunnies.
Looking forward to next year when we can do the Easter hunts and chocolate won't be a complete no-no.
