Here's Jeff on the 9th hole of the Green Briar course at Notawasaga Resort. He is finally putting after hitting a house...yes there are houses along the course, then a tree and finally on the green. It may sound like I am making fun of him but I am not. I say this with much affection. I am sincerely happy and proud that he tried golf for me because it's something I like to do. I can't say I didn't laugh at him because I did...but we laughed at each other. We didn't take it serious and we had a great time. Laughter is definately the best medicine. Will he be out again?? That remains to be seen. I think so, for me anyway...
Jeff took me on a surprise mini vacation to the Notawasaga Inn where we stayed a couple of nights and golfed during the day. Jeff has never golfed before and I'm a bit rusty...needless to say we didn't keep score but we sure did have a blast. The best part was when I had to yell "Fore" for Jeff....He thinks because of that, that golf is a violent sport...this coming from a marial artist. Jeff would still like to play mini putt but I told him it's about time he grew up! haha!! He was all happy because he beat me at mini putt but....who lost 11 golf balls out on the course?? I rest my case.
I highly recommend the Notawasaga for anyone who loves to golf or just get away. It's a great place for kids too! There's an indoor/outdoor pool, 100foot slide (it's fun) mini putt, arcade, pool tables, day care, spa...all kinds of things for the whole family. And the food is incredible!! Wedding location??? Maybe....

I did find a beautiful flower...Aidan stands in my Muskoka rock garden looking at the milk weeds.

The day we finally moved into our beautiful country home. We were and still are very excited about our new home. We are in love with it. It is almost everything we had wanted. It's close to Jeff's work (1/2 hr to Barrie), it has a huge garage (still need to take a pic), 3/4 of an acres of property, a stream that runs through it - or is that a river runs through it?! Steps away from the actual river, beautiful gardens - once I weed them all and the list goes on. We couldn't ask for much more, except a little more privacy but that's a whole other blog! We really lucked out when we found this place. Of course, it's not with out it's faults but we look forward to correcting them and making this our home to enjoy for many years to come.
For all of you who have waited patiently for me to start blogging again I think you will agree it was worth the wait.
Poor little Zorro was out of sorts too when we were homeless. It's amazing how well he's adjusted to his new home. He really likes it here there are birds for him to catch, frogs for him to eat and a stream for him to frolic in. Not to mention, room to roam. I think if he could speak he'd say "two paws up".
Don't let me forget the cat, Shadow, she's really getting around too! I mean that literally. She's taken to being an outdoor cat since the chaos over the last few months. This suits Zorro fine. It's quite funny because the big guy is afraid of her. He will actually go out of his way to avoid her.
